Old World Christmas Market Looks a Bit New This Year

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we will not have our traditional in-person Old World Christmas Market the first weekend of December. We are doing things differently this year so we can all be safe, healthy, and happy together for many holiday celebrations in the future!

The NCSML will be open our regular business hours from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, December 5, and noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday, December 6, with a reimagined virtual market:

  • Shop at our award-winning Museum Store online at store.ncsml.org. Free UPS ground shipping is available for orders placed November 27 through December 24, with local delivery options. The Store is available for in-person shopping whenever the NCSML is open.
  • Support our vendors online at store.ncsml.org from November 27 through December 24.
  • Pick up holiday treats at our first-ever Drive Through Cookie Walk from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 5. Pre-order will be available online starting November 23 through December 4.
  • Thanks to UFG Insurance, visitors can enjoy free admission to NCSML galleries December 5 and December 6. All visitors must wear facemasks and maintain social distancing.

All NCSML staff, volunteers, and visitors are required to wear a mask while they are in the building. The NCSML will provide masks to anyone who does not have one. Please practice social distancing and follow our detailed foot trafficking pathways for each visitor. Hand sanitizer stations will be throughout the entire building and please practice CDC recommended guidelines: wash hands often, avoid close contact with others, cover your mouth and nose with a mask, cover coughs and sneezes and stay home if you are feeling unwell, showing any COVID-19 related symptoms and have been exposed to COVID-19 in the last 14 days.

Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the Old World Christmas Market is subject to change. This event may be cancelled at any time due to city, county, state, and national public health recommendations, guidelines and proclamations.
