The Vice President for Development and Marketing is responsible for designing, planning, leading, implementing and evaluating all of the institution’s fundraising efforts, planned giving initiatives, and short and long-term designated giving for projects and identified needs. This position will articulate the museum’s funding priorities and oversee the implementation of a targeted strategy for fundraising in line with the NCSML’s dynamic strategic plan from individuals, foundations and corporations. S/he is responsible for meeting annual and other campaign budgetary goals.
The Vice President for Development and Marketing provides leadership and management of the development and marketing departments. This will include, but is not limited to, providing strategic direction and supervising staff and volunteers involved in development and marketing programs and activities.
This position is responsible for leading staff and volunteers in developing resources to ensure a strong base of financial support. The incumbent sets goals, monitors work, and evaluates results to ensure that departmental objectives and operating requirements are met and are in line with the needs and mission of the organization.
In conjunction with the President/CEO, this position acts as a representative and ambassador to the organization’s constituents to promote positive relationships and strong partnerships. This individual will be an ex-officio member of the NCSML’s Board of Trustees Finance, Governance, and Development committees.
