Holidays with A Heart at NCSML offers shoppers chance to support local causes

Shoppers who donate to partner nonprofits will be entered to win door prizes

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library (NCSML) is joining forces with five local nonprofit organizations to give people an opportunity to shop for a cause this holiday season, and to see the museum’s exhibits for free. The Holidays with a Heart event will be Dec. 12, 5-8 p.m., at the NCSML. (Learn more at ncsml.org/event/holidays-with-a-heart/)

The night of Dec. 12 only, event attendees who make a donation to one of these five nonprofits and/or to the NCSML (also a nonprofit) will be entered to win a door prize from the Museum Store.

Door prizes include:

  • PEKNE merino wool cap and leg warmers
  • The Smithsonian’s WWI: The Definitive Visual Historybook
  • Hubert the Hedgehog gift set
The Holidays with a Heart event at the NCSML also will feature:
