Opening Evening for ‘Samizdat: The Czech Art of Resistance’

Havel Samizdat

Join us for the opening of this exhibition, which presents rarely seen handmade books, journals, and other original works on paper that circulated secretly during the years between the Prague Spring and the Velvet Revolution. Visiting curator Daniela Sneppova will discuss this underground movement of self-publication and talk about the exhibit’s creation. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn about the fascinating story behind the artifacts featured in this exhibition.

5:00pm: Talk with visiting curator Daniela Sneppova

This event, including admission to the Petrik Gallery, is free and open to the public. RSVPs are encouraged; seating may be limited.
