Meskwaki Beadwork Traditions

Mary E. Young Bear, Meskwaki Cultural Center & Museum Conservator, will share her vast knowledge of Meskwaki beading traditions and culture. Learn more about this heritage unique to the state of Iowa.

Mary E. Young Bear was the 2017-2018 Distinguished Service Outside the Profession Award Winner, studied at the Institute of American Arts in Santa Fe, N.M., and was an artist-in-residence at the Denver Art Museum.
