Explore Classic Christmas Markets with NCSML

Strasbourg’s Christmas Market

A Christmas market, also known as Christkindlesmarkt, is a street market associated with the celebration of Christmas during the four weeks of advent. You can experience the 600-year-old holiday Christkindlesmarkt in Germany, France and Austria Dec. 12 through Dec. 20 if you book a trip with NCSML.

On this journey, you will have time to sip mulled wine and shop for handicrafts in some of the oldest and most famous Christmas markets in Europe. See firsthand how European cultures influence one another and compare traditions of the Czechs and Slovaks in Germany, Austria and France. Spend three nights in the traditional Alpine village of Oberammergau and two nights in the heart of the Black Forest. Explore Strasbourg’s Petit France and its quaint market stalls huddled around the imposing cathedral. Discover historic Würzburg and Rothenberg, some of the best-preserved medieval towns in Europe. Visit the famous Nuremberg Christmas Market dating back to 1628 and sample roast sausages and gingerbread. Bask in holiday cheer as you stroll along the cobblestone streets of Innsbruck, capital of Tyrolean Austria, and embark on your choice of a cultural walking tour or a visit to the Museum of Tyrolean Regional Heritage.
