Paul Morf, attorney for Simmons Perrine Moyer Bergman PLC, and President of the Iowa Academy of Trust and Estate Counsel, will join us to offer free professional advice on leaving a legacy through your estate plans. Paul will share information on popular planned giving opportunities. Both Paul and NCSML Development Staff will be on hand to answer your questions. If you’ve been thinking about your long-term charitable giving plans, this introductory conversation will be informative for you.

Paul Morf“People spend a lot of time planning for retirement and for their children’s college, but few people are as intentional about planning their charitable legacy.  I will talk about strategies for maximizing the tax benefits of charitable gifts both during life and at death, and provide some tips for ensuring that your charitable dollars have the greatest possible impact over the long term for the organizations you care about. I will also review some basic estate planning concepts that every person should understand, such as the difference between wills and revocable trusts and the pros and cons of each,  the importance of living wills and healthcare powers of appointment, and how to ensure that your beneficiary designations and your estate planning documents work together to implement your intentions.” Paul Morf, attorney for Simmons Perrine Moyer Bergman PLC, and President of the Iowa Academy of Trust and Estate Counsel

The NCSML Legacy Society supports the NCSML through planned gifts, which ensure the museums work will continue for generations to come. We look forward to sharing a brief overview of our Legacy Society and the different ways to become a member.

Light refreshments provided. RSVP’s encouraged.
