St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church
This parish was started in 1874 with the original church, since demolished, being built in 1882. A grade school, demolished in 1988, was added in 1893. The current church was built in 1904 and the current rectory in 1910. A high school building was opened in 1921 with the gymnasium and auditorium being added in 1926. In 1926 the high school became the first Czech parish high school in the United States to be fully accredited. The high school closed in 1958; the grade school closed in 1969. St. Wenceslaus is designated a National Czech parish, meaning that any Catholic of Czech origin can, regardless of parish boundaries, be a member of the parish. St. Ludmila's Catholic Parish (Church, Grade School)
215 21st Avenue SW (between 2nd and J Streets).
 
This parish was opened in 1914 and incorporated in 1915 as a mission of St. Wenceslaus parish. In 1922 it became an independent parish. The original school was opened in 1914, operating in a house, until a new school building was erected in 1915. Church services were held in the school until March, 1926 when a sturdy brick structure was built. That building served until June, 2000 when it was torn down and construction on the current church was begun.. The new church building was dedicated on September 1-2, 2001.
Hus Memorial Presbyterian Church

Original building at 631 9th Avenue SE.
 
This congregation was established in 1889 as the Czech Reformed Church and was renamed the Fourth Presbyterian Church that same year. In 1915 a new building was dedicated and the church renamed the Jan Hus Memorial Presbyterian. The name is carved in the stone above the front entrance. The church operated in this location until 1973 when the current building at 2808 Schaeffer Drive SW was erected. It is now known as the Hus Memorial Presbyterian Church. The original building is occupied by the New Jerusalem Church of God in Christ.
Jan Hus Methodist Episcopal (Bohemian) Church Original building 180 14th Avenue SW.
 
This building was erected in 1897 and is now an apartment house. The congregation is now part of the Asbury United Methodist Church at 350 27th Avenue SW.
Czech Reformed Church (later Czech Evangelical & Reformed Church)
Original building at 1510 2nd Street SW.
 
Organized in 1909 by members of the First Presbyterian church outside of Ely, Iowa, who had moved to Cedar Rapids. The church building was erected in 1910. The congregation combined with the Evangelical Synod in 1935 with a name change resulting. The congregation later united with the First Reformed Church and the name was changed to Eden United Church of Christ. They now occupy the First Reformed Church building at 351 8th Avenue SW. The original 2nd Street building is now occupied by the Redemption Missionary Baptist Church.
