Free First Saturdays for Students

ChumleyMemeBeginning in 2016, students of all ages (preschool through college) are invited to visit the NCSML’s exhibits for free on the first Saturday of each month during regular museum hours. College students must bring a current school ID card. Regular admission rates still apply to non-students. Members of the NCSML are always free.

Activities for July 2:
It’s a big Cedar Rapids Freedom Festival weekend at the National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library! Show your patriotic spirit by making your own American flag craft, or rocking a temporary tattoo at the museum to celebrate America’s birthday. Museum guests will also learn about the birthdays of other countries, including the Czech Republic and Slovakia!

Plus: Interactive “Unofficial Museum Tours” of Faces of Freedom: The Czech and Slovak Journey at 12:00pm and 2:00pm.
