Looking for a unique and beautiful setting for your wedding, wedding reception, office party or business meeting? Whether for business or pleasure, the National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library has three separate areas to accommodate your group. We also offer free off-street parking, a handicapped accessible facility and scenic view of the Cedar River from the patio.
WFLA Heritage Hall
Host your party in the privacy of Heritage Hall with seating up to 128 people dinner-style. We provide 5’ round tables with maximum seating of 8 people per round plus padded chairs. Also, we have 8’ long banquet tables that can be used for your buffet, bar, gift table, etc. The museum does not provide linens or skirting which can be rented or obtained from the caterer.
Theater-style seating in Heritage Hall will seat up to 140 people. A podium, microphone, AV cart, screen and piano are provided at no charge. A small TV/VCR can be rented for a nominal fee (we do not offer other AV equipment). The patio overlooking the Cedar River can be accessed from Heritage Hall.
Roman L. Hruska Grand Hall
Upon entering the front door to the museum, you will be impressed by the stunning Czech crystal chandelier hanging in the center of Grand Hall. This area is a perfect setting for a stand-up reception up to 125 people, a small dinner party up to 75 people or a wedding ceremony with theatre-style seating up to 150 people. The Grand Hall also has access to the patio.
Museum Garden Area
Have you always wanted a garden wedding? Adjacent to the museum, you will find blue iris, yellow lilies and other springtime and summer flowers blooming in the perimeter of the garden. A wedding ceremony can be preformed on the stage or under the museum clock tower. Seating capacity is approximately 200 people. Please not that chairs and tables must be rented from an outside source for garden seating.
