- An International Beer Tasting Celebration by the Cedar River

- BrewNost! is the trendy beer sipping and sampling event held yearly at the National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library. In partnership with the Beer Guys at John’s Grocery, our guests will enjoy 32 premium international beers and appetizers from major Cedar Rapids and Iowa City chefs. We will also feature jazz , pop and blues music by EMC with Craig Erickson & Dennis McPartland in the Garden, and piano music in Hruska Grand Hall by Dennis Redmond.
- The event also includes Moravian wine, fine international foods, a silent auction, and a raffle drawing for a trip to Prague. The National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library’s signature fall event is bigger than ever this year. New this year are fantastic appetizers from major Cedar Rapids and Iowa City chefs and a Patron's Choice Recipe Contest. The event begins at 6:00 p.m. in the Museum’s Grand Hall and Garden.
- The Museum anticipates the event will draw about 500 guests and will raise $50,000 to be applied towards the Museum’s operating costs. "The money raised from this event is a significant portion of the Museum’s income," comments the Museum's president and CEO Gail Naughton." It’s challenging for non-profit organizations to raise money for operating costs. Profits from this event go a long ways in keeping the doors to the Museum open from year to year."
