Support

The National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library has never been more relevant, but to have a world-class museum operating in temporary housing takes a considerable amount of operating dollars. In 2008, from California to Maine, and all points in between, over 2,400 people demonstrated their support of the mission of the National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library by making a financial contribution.

Flood Recovery and Rebuilding

The unprecedented flooding affecting so many others has done overwhelming damage to our museum. But, the flood is old news. “Rebuilding” is the current news. The NCSML is faced with the challenge of operating in temporary locations while it undertakes the exciting and daunting voyage of rebuilding its campus. This takes resources; time, energy and capital. All gifts designated for “Rebuilding” will be used to offset the additional costs in the process of reconstruction of the NCSML campus. Click on the "Donate Now" button to the right do support our rebuilding efforts.

Capital Campaign Fund

Even before the toxic, muddy water reached the top of the NCSML’s door frames, the NCSML had created a plan to triple the size of its buildings. The familiar and iconic red-roofed museum building was bursting at its seams with library materials and artifacts. The NCSML’s programs had become so frequent and popular that the organization was forced to find alternative sites to hold these public events. The flood didn’t change the need. Therefore, if the NCSML was to simply rebuild its main museum building, it wouldn’t be large enough serve the mission. The NCSML needs to take this opportunity thrust upon it to build the ideal facilities to deliver its mission. Monies donated to the capital campaign would be put to use in purchasing construction materials, paying architect and builder costs and all the associated expenses generally taken on when erecting facilities.

Legacy Society (Endowment Giving and Bequests)

The Legacy Society of the National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library is established as a way to recognize, honor and express appreciation to those dedicated individuals who make provisions for the NCSML in their estate plans or through a planned gift arrangement. The members of the Legacy Society insure the strength of the NCSML by perpetuating support beyond the donor’s lifetime and providing a secure financial base for the future. Learn More
